We’re putting our final touches on everything before we kick off Tulip CountryFest on Sunday! Cannot wait to have you all out! What better way to enjoy the first day with some sun after all the cold, cloudy days than enjoying tulips?? ⛅️💐😍

We’ve been getting a lot of questions about the tulips and how this cold snap is effecting the flowers. The cold is actually a key factor to a successful tulip field! That’s why it’s rare to see them this far south!

On Sunday, you can expect the field to be what we’re calling “opening blooms” meaning in the first stage of blooming. The weather we’ve gotten this week has slowed down blooms a bit. God willing, they will be at their peak bloom come next week and we will be open Friday - Sunday!

In addition to the fields, we will have things like a bouquet bar, live music and goat races, delicious food and flower themed adult bevs, over the top shakes, our gift shop stocked full of new goodies from market, flower photo ops & decor, and more!

Little vulnerable post here… farming is not easy, y’all! We’ve had some crazy weather in Texas lately which have made our first year of tulips very challenging and hard to gauge. We are finally starting to see blooms in the field which is exciting! We are officially set to open Tulip CountryFest this Sunday, February 23. We originally wanted to open up Saturday, too but the weather is going to be wet & freezing! Sunday looks stunning and sunny, thank God!

Tulips are not typically grown in south Texas because of our warmer climate, so this is a huge “discovery” year for us as we learn growing them this far south. Our goal is to get better and tweak our farming methods each year to grow stunning and thriving fields!

We are expecting an “opening blooms” field this Sunday, meaning our field will be partially bloomed. God willing, we will have “peak blooms” March 1 & 2. For now, our plan is to sell tickets for this Sunday and add the additional weekend as long as the field goes to plan (but hey, we all know it’s really up to God/nature, right??).

In addition to the tulips, we will have a bouquet bar, fun adult beverages, live music, goat races, attractions, food, crazy desserts, photo ops throughout, and more.

We just wanted to take a moment to share some insight from a farming perspective. As much as we’d love to release definite dates, that’s just not how farming works! We are beyond thankful for the support from our community! And we’re thankful for those of you who are joining us for our first ever tulip field.

This is a great experience for families looking to start new traditions by taking a REAL tree home from a Christmas tree farm!

A little about our trees & the process
🌟 Our Fraser Firs are grown and shipped from the mountains of North Carolina. We partner with farms who grow only the most premium Frasers out there! They are absolutely stunning and smell amazing!
🌟 These trees can be found in our “Christmas Tree Park” located inside the farm! Open from open to closing time!
🌟 You’ll pick out your perfect tree, tag it and we will transport it to the processing area at the entry to the farm. Your tree will be shaken and baled, ready to be loaded up and brought home!
🌟 Be sure to stay and play! Trees are available for purchase during Christmas CountryFest- running December 14, 15, 20, and 21!
